CAVA, a Maryland-based chain serving customizable Mediterranean food, opened its newest Columbus restaurant this week. The new location is at 1603 W. Lane Ave. in Upper Arlington, inside The Shops on Lane Avenue. It is the fifth CAVA restaurant to open in the Columbus area in 2026.
The company first entered the local market in April. That first store opened at 1790 Hilliard Rome Road. Subsequent locations followed at 1370 Polaris Parkway, 4120 Buckeye Parkway in Grove City, and 9711 Sawmill Parkway near Powell. The new Upper Arlington store joins these four sites in bringing the brand’s menu to more parts of the region.
The chain specializes in bowls, salads, and pita wraps that customers assemble themselves. Diners select a base such as greens, rice, or lentils. They then add proteins including grilled chicken, falafel, steak, or salmon. The menu also includes various vegetables, dips, and sauces for customization.
To mark the opening, CAVA hosted a Community Day event. Guests received complimentary meals during the celebration. The restaurant collected food donations for the Mid-Ohio Food Collective. In a statement, CAVA said it would match donations to the local food bank up to $1,000.
The Upper Arlington location is open daily. Hours run from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
