Building materials supplier CRH reported higher third quarter revenue on Thursday, reaching $11.4 billion, up 3 percent from a year earlier. The Dublin-based, US-listed company attributed the increase to pricing, demand and acquisitions. Net income for the quarter fell to $1.2 billion from $1.5 billion after impairments.
Chief executive Jim Mintern said the results came against a "challenging and volatile inflationary cost backdrop" and credited commercial execution and cost measures alongside demand in key end-markets. Adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation were $2.7 billion, level with 2025. Residential activity remained subdued during the period.
The company has since launched Velocity, a two year program intended to simplify its operating structure and apply artificial intelligence to growth targets and margins. CRH projects annual run-rate benefits of about $400 million from the effort. The company also approved a share buyback of up to $6 billion that runs through the end of 2030.
For the full year, CRH forecasts net income of $3.1 billion to $3.3 billion. Adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation are projected at $7.8 billion to $8 billion.
