Ozzfest Returns to UK in 2027

Ozzfest is confirmed for a 2027 return to the United Kingdom. The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 10, 2027, at The National Bowl in Milton Keynes. This will be the first time the festival has been held in the UK in more than 25 years. The announcement was made by Sharon Osbourne, who is the widow and manager of the late Ozzy Osbourne.

Sharon Osbourne revealed the revival plans earlier this year while speaking at the MIDEM music industry conference in Cannes in March. She stated that Ozzfest would “absolutely” be returning. She noted that she and Ozzy had discussed the idea before his death. Ozzy had asked her, “Do you think Ozzfest would work without me?” Sharon replied, “Yeah, it’s a brand. It will work without you.” Ozzy subsequently told her, “We should do it.”

The 2027 UK event will be the first Ozzfest since Ozzy Osbourne’s death in July 2025. He died weeks after his farewell concert, Back To The Beginning, at Birmingham’s Villa Park. The last Ozzfest took place on New Year’s Eve 2018 at The Forum in Los Angeles. Sharon Osbourne explained that the festival originally served to give emerging rock and metal acts a platform to perform in front of large audiences.

Sharon described the original event as a place for new talent. She said, “It was something Ozzy was very passionate about: giving young talent a stage in front of a lot of people.” She added that the festival started with the spirit of a summer camp for kids. She stated that while other metal festivals were replicated, they did not capture that specific focus on new artists.

The venue for the 2027 UK show was changed from Villa Park to The National Bowl. Sharon Osbourne explained that continuing construction work at Villa Park meant the stadium would not be ready for live shows in the summer. She said, “Unfortunately, due to continuing construction, Villa Park won’t be ready for any live shows this summer, so we had to relocate to Milton Keynes.” She added that the choice was to move the event or postpone it for another year.

The UK event is part of a wider international return for the festival in 2027. Ozzfest will return to the United States on September 11 at the Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California. This is the same location where the festival first launched in 1996. The festival will then make its debut in Mexico City on September 18 at Estadio GNP Seguros.

Sharon Osbourne will curate the line-up for the comeback events. The full list of performers is expected to be announced in the coming months. Early bird tickets for all three shows went on sale on Friday, November 6, at 10am local time.
