Dublin By Night Fest will take place in the city centre on Saturday, November 7. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and occupies four specific streets. Dame Street, College Green, Parliament Street, and Capel Street will host the activities. The festival is open to the public at no cost.
Organisers aim to surpass the attendance of the previous year. Last year's festival drew more than 80,000 visitors to the capital. This year's edition is designed to be the largest to date. More than 30 local businesses are participating in the program. Visitors will find live music, DJs, and pop-up performances in the designated areas. Cooking demonstrations and interactive experiences are also part of the schedule.
Daryl Barron, Dublin's Lord Mayor, described the event as a celebration of the city's creativity. He noted that the festival offers options for those interested in music, culture, food, or shopping. Barron stated that there would be activity around every corner. He invited residents and visitors to experience the event directly.
Clyde Carroll, CEO of DublinTown, said the festival showcases the capital's entertainment and food scene. He added that the event highlights the city's shopping and lifestyle offerings. The festival is organized by DublinTown in partnership with Dublin City Council and Fáilte Ireland. An Garda Síochána provides support for the event.
The festival also marks Dublin's retention of its Purple Flag accreditation. This international status is awarded to cities with safe and diverse night-time economies. Dublin has held the accreditation every year since 2013. It is one of approximately 80 European cities to achieve this recognition. The scheme encourages a mix of cultural, social, and family-friendly activities beyond traditional nightlife.
Dublin By Night Fest will officially launch the Winter in Dublin campaign. This campaign runs until the end of January 2027. It includes a program of seasonal events and activities for the coming months. Organisers encourage people to visit the city centre on Saturday evening to enjoy the free festivities.
